God Made Us Male and Female- Why We Cannot Change Our Gender

God doesn't need to conform to our feelings, or our biological ability to mutilate our bodies. God has made and declared what is good. It is good for men to be manly, and good for women to be womanly. Each culture WILL look slightly different, but that doesn't change the created order of God, and sometimes even cultures (like Western hyper-sexuality culture) as a whole can reject these created distinctive - the fact that Androgynous is a description of a blurred attractiveness of a person, neither fully male or female is evidence of this present sad state.

Why Christianity?

At one point the question was very directly, boldly, and pointedly asked by the father of the home who was not a believer: “So why Christianity? Why not some other belief? Why not Buddhism, or Islam? Why did you decide ‘this must be true for me’?”

A Short History of Homeschooling- The Importance of a Christian Education

Homeschooling has become a hot topic in recent years. Many parents have chosen to remove their children from public school settings after the interruptions in schooling due to covid. This influx of children daily in the home, has greatly changed the education landscape of our country. For many of these parents, this was the first time they had an experience with teaching their children at home. The idea of teaching children at home is not novel, although have been accustomed to think its new. In fact, throughout history teaching your children at home was the norm. Homeschooling has been around for a lot longer than we think.

Little Voices in the Pews

Many children in our western culture have been told they can’t sit in worship. They have been led to believe that the Bible is too difficult for them to understand. That there are only certain stories worth learning about. Why these stories? Because some believe kids can only learn the “fun stories of scripture." Children are taught about Jericho falling down, but are they taught about Joshua, Rahab, or Moses? Are they taught why the walls of Jericho needed to fall down? Are they taught of the victory of God in fulfilling His great promises to His people? Are they taught how destructive and devastating sin is? Are they exposed to the ultimate reality of God’s wrath against His enemies? Are they told of the grace of God in Christ? Are they taught about the significance of the return of Christ?

The Psalms and Christ's Death, Resurrection, and Ascension

In Luke 23 and 24 we read of the crucifixion of Jesus. Over the last few weeks since before Christmas we've been reading through the gospel of Luke. Luke's gospel ends with the death of Jesus, and then his resurrection and ascension. Within a few hundred words, Luke reports on the lowest, most dark moments of Jesus, and then the most triumphant, glorious, and overwhelmingly tremendous experiences of Jesus. These passages are like a valley below overshadowing mountains.
