Easy, Fun Bible Songs for Church and Homeschool
We have spent the last few days talking about different hymns we should learn. Hymns are great to know, but there are a lot of other songs we can teach our children. In today's post I am going to list some of the songs that we teach kids. These are Bible songs that we teach at home and at church. Many of these you may know, and have been around for years, while some are a bit newer. I hope this list will bless your family.

Wee Sing
Many of our favorite Bible songs come from Wee Sing Bible songs. These are songs that I listened to as a child on a tape player. Here is a playlist of all their Bible songs and fingerplays. We use these songs from the time our kids are babies until they are grown. Even as an adult, I often enjoy singing these songs. Some of our favorites are: Lords Army, Oh Be Careful Little Eyes, The BIBLE and Only a Boy Names David.
Songs for Saplings
Songs for Saplings is a Christian organization that I found years ago. I love how these songs teach scripture with fun catchy music. We have only used the alphabet CDs, but they do offer catechism songs as well. The kids favorite is "keep me as the apple of your eye", which is the first song. In the past, we have done a weekly study by learning this song and doing other activities with the letter "a". One thing that stands out about this company is that there mission is to share the Gospel to as many people as they can. They are always working on new versions of their CDs in different languages. They send this music with missionaries at no cost to them. If you're looking for some new songs this is a great organization to support.
Seeds Family Worship
This is more modern music for children and families. There goal is to get Gods word into every home. They do this by writing songs and videos for scripture versus. We haven't listened to a ton of their songs, but we have a few that we love. I love the repetition of scripture in each song, and the upbeat nature of the songs. During our group work time we always take a break dance and quite often those songs are from Seeds Family Worship. They have such simple and easy to remember videos to go with their scripture songs. If you're looking for a more upbeat, modern songs for scriptures this is a great one to check out.
Hidden in My Heart
Similar to the other two groups, this singer also puts scripture to song. These songs are the direct opposite of Seeds Family Worship. They are very slowly songs meant to be more of a lullaby. We have used these for years to put our children to sleep. The peacefulness of the songs do wonders for calming the anxiety and worries of life. This is my go to music when I am anxious and can not get my mind to shut off. I will put this on and just focus on the scripture being sung and being in God's presence. If your looking for some music to play during quiet time, morning devotions or just to calm down this is the way to go.
